For my love and respect of  the olden days  " The Wool Penny" was created.  In honor of all the 18th century women who made dolls, quilts, wool penny mats and rugs from scraps of wool and old clothing.

  Wool Penny Tidbit:   The wool penny mats or rugs were created with scraps of wool or wool felt from old clothing and stitched into designs.  They would use coins to as the templates.  Each piece was then blanket stitched and the pennies were used to weight down the mat.
